St Bernard rescued from Scafell Pike

Members of the Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) went to four-year-old Daisy's aid on Scafell Pike. St Bernards are traditionally on the other side of such mercy missions - they were originally bred in the Swiss Alps as mountain rescue dogs.

This new poem is called Storm. I wrote it after hearing the sad news of the reelection of Andrzej Duda as president of Poland for another 5 year term. I fear for the LGBT+ community there with the growth of the 'LGBT-Free' zones. Worldwide, there seems to be a shift in the political tide towards far-right leadership. I believe this will cause serious long term harm, and undo so much progress that countless people have fought and died for.
