Seaweed could be used to create environmentally-friendly bioplastics, thanks to an Indonesian start-up. Evoware makes food wrappers and sachets using the crop but estimates that its products will cost 30% more than normal single-use plastics. In a country which is the world's second-biggest plastic polluter, a solution is needed. "Evoware cannot do this all by ourselves," says David Chirstian, the company's founder. "We are not supermen, right? We need to engage to everyone - the government sector, the private sector, end customers."
