CNN (Aug 26) interviewed Anne Rimoin, UCLA Fielding School of Public Health professor of epidemiology and director of the Fielding School’s UCLA Center for Global and Immigrant Health, about the status of the U.S. federal government’s response to the pandemic in a week where American deaths reached 180,000. “We are a country that has not been able to control the epidemic here on our own borders, and we have a very high death toll,” Rimoin said. “We have a very infection rate, and I just don't think that anybody looking at the data can suggest that we as a country, or our leadership, has done a good job.” ph.ucla.edu/news
