Too Far with Mort La Court is a news show series parody hosted by Mort La Court and is comprised of daily news reports and interviews with unsuspecting guests who are sitting too far away. Mort has been furloughed from his 9 – 5 news gig but doesn’t fully understand what that means. Join Mort and his new crew from his new news station; his mother’s porch, as he attempts to continue to deliver excellent reporting and award-winning programming. How will he do? Well, he’s sure to go too far … because it’s the title of the thing. First appearing in 2017 at American Stage’s Golden Gurlz Live! and since seen at Creative Loafing’s GASP! and Best of the Bay events, Mort La Court has been described as a combination of Jiminy Glick, Ron Burgundy, and SNL’s Pat but way better than all 3 combined.
