She's the owner of Joey and Boots Barkery. The bakery was born out of her desire to give her son Joey’s service dog wholesome treats. The single mother of four was in search of a service dog for her son, who presents with autism. His doctor suggested a service dog but the rescue and training costs about $20,000. Her call for financial assistance was picked up by CBS News, which catapulted her to her goal.
