Did your mother ever send you out to pull weeds in the garden? Mine did.  Mom was determined to keep those weeds from overtaking her harvest of vegetables. In today’s devotional we look at the weeds of sin that can take root in our lives. INSIGHTS FOR YOUR TOOLBOX After the farmer sows his crop, weeds can crop up choking out those new plants affecting that harvest. Sin is like those weeds or that underbrush that we talked about in our video. Henry Blackaby says this: “Sin is our most persistent, determined, and pernicious enemy. Sin seeks to rob us of every good thing God has designed for us. It relentlessly entangles our lives.” FOOD FOR THOUGHT The good news is that God’s grace abounds to free us from that sin that so easily entangles us. Romans 5:20 declares, “but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more”. True repentance produces spiritual fruit and a harvest of righteousness. What you sow today, you will reap tomorrow.
