The Federal government, especially the Republican Senate, is resisting a major upgrade of the US INFRASTRUCTURE that is more than 75 years old. We can not compete with Europe and Asia if we do not upgrade. The Senate refuses allowing only minimal repair and some upgrade for under 1 Trillion dollars while the Democrats want the 6 Trillion dollar major full reworking of electric, internet, road & bridge & rail upgrade. The Republican Senate, retreating conservative now, after having passed a 2 Trillion dollar laughingly called a tax reform bill in 2017 in the Trump Administration that benefitted and benefits only the corporations and the already wealthy 1% Americans. They do not want the Biden Administration to have another victory that will be benefiting them in the upcoming 2022 midterm and the 2024 Presidential elections. The way I am now experiencing my life, it will not make a Goddamned difference one way or another. You see I feel insecure right now. And I have resolved to no longer watch and listen to analysis of the machinations of these two opposing American political forces on the television news programs. They are too distressing for me. I experienced the same feeling in the last year of the Trump Administration leading to the 2020 elections. It was too horrible to know how the evil mind of Trump was corrupting every part of government. It is a complete replay of how Hitler maneuvered himself into becoming the dictator Chancellor of Germany in 1933 following the Reichtag (Government Offices) fire which he, Hitler, like Trump, criminally most likely set himself in order to declare a government emergency mandate that gave him complete control. It is a strange coincidence which I hope remains coincidence rather than destined or predetermined – I was born in that month of March of that year 1933. The actual fire was on February 27th but it was in March as an emergency measure, engineered by Hitler, that all civil liberties in Germany were suspended, including freedom of press and public assembly. The Berlin fire commissioner Walter Kempp was dismissed for asserting Nazi implication in the fire, he was tried for abuse of office, imprisoned, strangled and killed in prison. Hitler again. At the Leipzig trials in June 1933, the Communist Van der Luppe was accused of the fire, sentenced to death, beheaded by guillotine. These actions are exactly what Trump would be and is perpetrating at this moment claiming the 2020 election was stolen from him, starting with the insurrection of January 6th, dozen of second voter-recounts motivated in many states, and hundreds of voter-suppression laws being cast in Republican controlled states. This is a frightening time. Too much for me to tolerate. Maybe AGING is an explanation for everything. It is Nature’s most powerful biological drive – Aging to the end. The other event or thing that I alluded to in the first paragraph at the top, is that for two weeks now I’m not smoking marijuana – two puffs two times per day for mostly 50 years. I think the smoking has helped keep my sanity in America, as well as the general HUMAN CONDITION. But maybe it is a contributing cause to yesterday and today’s MALAISE. Finally though, I suspect that this week’s Wednesday #24th session of the intensely psycho-physiological therapy called Structural Integration aka Rolfing, might be at the root of this crisis. Through adversity comes strength. Through confusion comes clarity. After the storm comes sunshine. And that’s an explanation I’m at this moment trying out – yes, my body’s nervous system is being treated in this therapy and will cause trouble before peace, pain before pleasure.
