At about 8:20am, just two hours after Eagle landed on the lunar surface, Australian Prime Minister John Gorton arrived at Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station. The EVA had just been brought forward, and the station was in preparation for Moonrise at 11:15am followed by television from the Moon. At short notice, the station’s Hamish Lindsay was tasked to take photos of the Prime Minister’s visit. This slide show uses Hamish’s photos as well as a few from the photographer with the Australian News and Information Bureau. Thanks to Glen Nagle for access to the Honeysuckle Visitors Book. See the photos, as well as ABC-TV footage of the visit, at https://honeysucklecreek.net/Apollo_11/Gorton_index.html
