We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray that your soul will be strengthened by the good news of God’s forgiveness through Jesus. TODAY’S WORSHIP THEME The last couple of weeks we’ve been seeing what a blessing God’s Word is for us. Today we celebrate another blessing God gives along with it: shepherds to guide us in that Word. The readings for today reveal God’s heart for his people and his desire for them to be led by his Word in its purity. What a gift it is then that God gives shepherds to help do just that! NEW USHER SCHEDULE AVAILABLE St. Paul’s usher schedule is set for August through November 2021. The schedule has been emailed to those who provided email addresses, and printed copies are also available on the table in the narthex. If you cannot usher for your scheduled service, please switch with another who can do so. It’s important that we have enough ushers for each worship service. NEW COPIES OF WELS PUBLICATIONS New copies of Meditations and Forward in Christ are available in the narthex. Make sure to grab one on your way out to help stay connected to Christ and his work in our synod. SP’S ONALASKA SEEKS E.A., SURROUND CARE WORKER, AND LUNCH WORKER Do you love working with children? St. Paul’s Lutheran School, Onalaska, is looking for active WELS members who will serve as great role models for our students. These part-time positions coincide with our school year calendar. We have need of an upper grade Educational Assistant for all day (about 7:45 am-3:00 pm), a worker for morning Surround Care (6:00-7:30 am), and a lunch worker (11:00 am -1:00 pm).
