In 2016, whilst laying a power cable between Scotland and Northern Ireland, what was thought to be a U Boat from WW1 was discovered. https://www.scottishpower.com/news/pages/ww1_submarine_sunk_by_sea_monster_uncovered_by_power_cable_engineers_in_scotland.aspx This raised the interest for a team of Technical Divers who since that time began looking for background information with a view to dive and identify the lost wreck. In Oct 2020, Rockcurry Divers found the wreck and made plans to dive it in 2021. On Sat 10th July 21, the first preliminary dive was attempted, however due to massive undercurrent tides, the dive was unsuccessful. On Sunday 11th July the dive team returned and completed the dive. This video is a record of the dive. We have been advised from information received, due to the wreck-site location, it is unlikely to be UB82 or UB85, however it could be UB63, UB119, UB104 or UB113. Only time will tell.
