How to create a new User Role by Procon Telematics

To create a new User Role, go to the admin toolbar and select ‘Settings’. Then, ‘User Roles’. From here, click on ‘Create New Role’. Enter a name for the Role. The options chosen will determine what users assigned this role can view and change. ‘View Permissions’ defines what sections of the system the role can see. Select ‘all permissions’ to give the role ‘view access’ to all sections. Or select options individually by clicking the tickboxes. Make sure to click ‘Insights’ and ‘Insight: Driver Report Card’ for the role-users to see their own Driver Report Cards. ‘Admin View Permissions’ defines what administrator views this role has. Add or remove permissions as needed. ‘Report Access’ defines the reports the user-role can view and run. Add or remove permissions as needed. Ticking the ‘Field Permissions’ section will allow the user-role to view and edit all driver report cards. If not selected a Driver will only see their report card. Click ‘Save’ to finish.
