On Sept 17, 2016, my wife Ruth and I successfully completed hiking the entire 4600 mile North Country National Scenic Trail (NCT). The trail passes through seven states: North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. The trail truly is scenic. These are photos taken along the trail. The photos are ordered from West to East following the trail although, since we hiked the entire trail as a series of segment hikes (with a few backpacking segments) that is not the order that we hiked the trail. Here are the photos for Western New York. In Western New York the NCT follows the Finger Lakes Trail (FLT). The photos are West to East order starting in Allegheny State Park.
