Video documentation of Pleasure Principle, an installation by Chris Sauter commissioned by the McNay Art Museum for the exhibition, Immersed: Local to Global Art Sensations. The work is a freestanding recreation of an average US American living room. 1700+ circles are cut from the walls and ceiling of the room to make18 dopamine molecular models. The molecules populate the sofa and recliners. Information from 5 news outlets (Facebook, MSNBC, Fox news, Breitbart, local news) bombard the room from all sides. The information beams into the room only through the holes left from the construction of the molecules.
