Whilst traveling through Indonesia a filmmaker stumbles across a small island village that live with their dead relatives. Armed with his cameras he attempts to find out more about this unusual tradition and understand the villagers relationship with death. Befriending a local animist - Ryan, they start to get access to local families living with the dead, or as it's known to them 'Tomakula' and get invited to a funeral ceremony which involves animal sacrifice.
