Corona Kindness: How to help kids return to school - and those staying home by Bhavani Vadde

Many kids are going back to school this week after a long period at home with their families. And at the same time many of their friends will not - like my girl who’s eligible to return to school but we’re keeping her at home with her brother. We’ve umm-ed and ahh-ed but finally decided that as I’m at higher risk because of a long term health issue, we’ll play it safe for now. Others will of course will different choice - we’re now entering a state of flux and change. I’m sure this is going to bring up lots of emotions for children like her staying at home as well as those returning to a very different school environment and possibly with different teachers. In my latest kindness vlog family psychotherapist Natalie Hawkins talks about how we can prepare and help kids in both situations.
