Started in 2018 by a bunch of chumps (Kameron Burk, Kent Yoshimura, and Winston Waters II), Okidoki quickly became a global leader in the almond trade business. However, tainted by money and Kam’s fear of nuts, they realized that the harsh world of almond trading was not for them. They had to pivot and pivot fast. While meeting at the local swingset, they all began thinking of different ideas, shouting them out as they swung higher and higher. “What about short-term motorized scooter rentals” one of us said. “Or an energy gum” another asked as they began making full revolutions on the swingset. “Or...what about immersive art?” We all came to a sudden halt mid-air. Kameron already had a background in experiential design as a Disney Imagineer, Kent had done creative direction and painted murals for the city of Los Angeles, and Winston knew business and finances through and through. And thus began our journey. From creating a world made of clouds, Okidoki decided to make worlds.
