हमीरपुर के रहने वाले चीफ कंजरवेटर ऑफ फॉरेस्ट प्रदीप ठाकुर ने उसे बोटैनिकल गार्डन में तब्दील कर दिया है। इस बोटैनिकल गार्डन में 200 से 250 तक पेड़ पौधे मौजूद हैं. इतना ही नहीं प्रदीप ठाकुर ने ठंडे इलाकों में पाए जाने वाले देवदार और सेब के पौधों को भी यहां पर उगाया है
