What is in Philip Hammond's Autumn budget?
Chancellor Philip Hammond has revealed his Autumn budget plans and said austerity is "coming to an end". He said the government would be investing in a new mental health service, including more mental health ambulances and a 24-hour hotline. After previously suggesting a tax for tech giants, the Chancellor said the tax will come into force in 2020 and will raise around £400m a year. Mr Hammond also put forward plans to raise personal tax allowance to £12,500 from £11,850. Some were left disappointed as the Chancellor chose not to introduce a 'latte levy' which campaigners say could help to reduce single-use plastic cups.
